Owen Ndou
Owen Ndou was born in 1964 at Gwamasenga, Venda, and now lives in Hamutsha.
Owen's love of sculpting started at a very young age and in 1984, that he started carving full time.
Owen deeply explores the significance of biblical themes throughout his work.
Other works deal with documenting history and everyday life, especially traditional life.
The colours that he paints his works in are of symbolic meaning to his work.

University of the Free State.
University of Natal
University of South Africa, Pretoria.
Johannesburg Art Gallery, Johannesburg.
National Gallery, Cape Town
Sandton Convention Centre
Rotterdam, Holland.

and have been exhibited in:

the Everard Read Gallery,
The Sanderling Gallery,
The Hart Gallery
(at the University of Bophuthatswana),
The Sally Thomson Gallery,
The University of the Free State and
The University of Zululand.
